LaserForm expands operations with $16M investment creating 32 jobs

LaserForm & Machine, Inc., a metal fabrication and machine shop, announced its expansion in Kershaw County with a $16 million investment. This expansion is set to create 32 new jobs in the area. The company, founded in 1994, offers services such as laser cutting, forming, turret punching, welding, machining, and powder coating.

The expansion involves acquiring a 101,000-square-foot facility at 412 Groves Street in Lugoff. The company's existing Kershaw County operation will remain functional alongside another facility in Richland County. The Coordinating Council for Economic Development has awarded a $200,000 Set-Aside grant to assist Kershaw County with building renovation costs.

"We are excited and grateful for the opportunity to expand our operations in Kershaw County," said Chris M. Cromer, General Manager of LaserForm & Machine, Inc. "This expansion represents a significant investment by our company which will allow us to better support our current customer base while also positioning us to aggressively pursue future opportunities."

Governor Henry McMaster remarked on the business environment: "LaserForm & Machine’s expansion is a testament to the thriving business environment we have created throughout South Carolina."

Secretary of Commerce Harry M. Lightsey III noted the impact on the community: "It is great to see another one of our existing companies find success and grow its operations in our state."
