NUPI Americas, Inc., a plastic fabrication company, has announced an expansion of its operations in Hampton County, South Carolina. This $7 million investment is expected to create 30 new jobs. The company, which is part of Nupi Industrie Italiane S.p.A., focuses on manufacturing multilayer plastic pipes and fittings under the brands NIRON, ELOFIT, and SMARTFLEX.

The expansion will take place at their facility located at 314 Commerce Parkway in Early Branch. The plan includes doubling the size of the current site by adding more tooling and production space. Operations are projected to commence in 2028. Job seekers interested in joining NUPI can reach out to Sandra Garcia via email.

The Coordinating Council for Economic Development has approved job development credits for this project.

Marco Genoni, President and CEO of NUPI Americas, expressed gratitude for the support from South Carolina and Hampton County as they enter the third phase of their expansion journey that began in 2016. "This third phase adds 50,000 square feet of building space and represents a capital investment of over $7 million," he said.

Governor Henry McMaster welcomed the news stating it shows existing companies find success in South Carolina. Secretary of Commerce Harry M. Lightsey III also congratulated NUPI on its growth and commitment to creating opportunities for residents.

Hampton County Council Chairman Dr. Roy Hollingsworth highlighted the importance of NUPI as a major employer in the community while SouthernCarolina Alliance Chairman Marty Sauls emphasized how this expansion reflects positively on the region's workforce and business environment.
