In response to the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham, Governor Henry McMaster, and Lieutenant Governor Pamela Evette have announced a series of Team South Carolina Days. These events aim to provide residents with access to essential federal, state, and nonprofit resources as the state begins its recovery process.

Senator Graham expressed his commitment to assisting those affected by the hurricane. "I know it’s been tough on our state. There has been so much devastation," he said. He emphasized collaboration with state leaders to organize these events, stating, "I’ll be working with Governor McMaster and Lieutenant Governor Evette to host Team South Carolina Days where we will get federal, state and local people together so you’ll know where to go to get the services you need."

The initiative will bring together representatives from various South Carolina state agencies offering services for seniors, veterans, children, insurance information, and unemployment benefits. The Small Business Administration (SBA) will also participate by providing disaster loan information for small businesses. The South Carolina Office of Resilience will assist in applying for disaster relief while the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will handle applications for individual assistance. Several nonprofits are expected to join as well.

Details for the initial Team South Carolina Days include:

- For Pickens, Anderson, and Oconee Counties: October 9 at Clemson Littlejohn Coliseum.

- For Spartanburg and Cherokee Counties: October 10 at University of South Carolina Upstate.

- For Greenville County: October 11 at Greenville Technical College.

Additional dates are anticipated for other impacted counties in mid-to-late October.
