U.S. Senator Tim Scott (R-S.C.) addressed the graduating class at Liberty University's Commencement Ceremony in Lynchburg, Virginia. In his keynote speech, he imparted a message of resilience and faith to the new graduates.
Senator Scott stressed that failure is not the end if one does not give up. He encouraged the graduates to make a difference by standing up for those who cannot stand for themselves. Drawing on biblical imagery, he suggested that to achieve extraordinary feats, one must be willing to take risks.
"I believe there are a lot of graduates sitting here today, with tears welling in their eyes and a heart full of gratitude, because if we all knew what God had to do to get you to your seats, we would all stand up and give you a standing ovation," said Senator Scott. "And I thank God Almighty we live in a country where we are free to praise the living God."
In his concluding remarks, Senator Scott urged the graduates to embrace their potential and respond positively to life's challenges. "Let us be the generation of believers who believe in the impossible… God has a plan for every single graduate in the house. My only question is this: Will you answer his call? God bless you," he concluded.
