Gov. Henry McMaster, Lt. Gov. Pamela S. Evette, and First Lady Peggy McMaster had a busy week ahead starting on Monday, January 29. The Governor's schedule included speaking at the Governor's Economic Summit in Columbia and holding a press conference following the event. Lt. Gov. Evette, on Wednesday, January 31, was scheduled to speak at the University of South Carolina Upstate. Additionally, Gov. McMaster had engagements throughout the week, including overseeing a State Fiscal Accountability Authority Meeting on Tuesday, hosting a press conference with Lockheed Martin and the South Carolina Manufacturers Alliance, and joining the South Carolina Department of Transportation for a groundbreaking ceremony in Bowman.

In a statement released to the press, Gov. McMaster's office outlined the upcoming events on the agenda, including a speaking engagement at the South Carolina Association of Technical College Commissioners' Academy Legislative Day and joining the American Battlefield Trust for the Horn Work Footprint Path Unveiling Ceremony in Charleston. Lt. Gov. Evette was also scheduled to speak at the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce Forum in Ridgeway and attend the Christian Women of Distinction Awards Banquet in Fort Mill on Thursday, February 1.

Reflecting on his previous week's activities, Gov. McMaster's schedule for January 22, 2024, included attending the ribbon cutting for the Carroll A. Campbell, Jr. Alzheimer's Initiative and presenting the Order of the Palmetto to Dr. Steve Skinner at the McAlhany Family Center for Collaborative Research in Greenwood. The Governor also held office hours at the State House and delivered his annual State of the State address in the House Chambers. Lt. Gov. Evette spoke at the economic development summit reception hosted by Gov. McMaster and First Lady Peggy McMaster at the Governor's Mansion on Sunday, January 28.
