Taylor Sellers, sports development manager for Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce (MBACC) and Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB), has earned a Sports Tourism Strategist (STS) certification through Sports ETA, the Sports Events and Tourism Association.
A non-profit trade association for the sports events and tourism industry, Sports ETA provides those responsible for organizing sports events with resources to grow professionally. The STS certification is a program of Sports ETA’s Sports Tourism Learning Institute, the leading-edge education institute for the sports events and tourism industry offering topical content and in-depth certification programs.
The STS certification encompasses 32 credit hours of sports events and tourism industry education such as crisis communications, event management, innovation, sports business analytics and more. To learn more visit, learn.sportseta.org.

Sports ETA’s annual State of the Industry Report for 2021 revealed that the nation’s sports tourism sector resulted in a direct spending impact of $39.7 billion and generated a total economic impact of $91.8 billion, supporting 635,000 full-time and part-time jobs and generating $12.9 billion in taxes.
Sellers has been part of the Myrtle Beach Area CVB Group Sales division since September 2017 and works to attract and accommodate sporting events held across the Grand Strand.
