U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham expressed his disappointment after Senate Democrats blocked the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act of 2025. The legislation, which Graham co-sponsored, was initially introduced by U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville. It aimed to maintain Title IX protections for female athletes by preventing biological men from participating in women's sports.

Graham criticized the decision, stating, "Clearly the radical Left still controls Democrat Senators." He further remarked on what he perceives as a disconnect between Senate Democrats and public opinion: "Apparently they have learned nothing from the last election and have chosen to oppose protecting girls and women from playing sports with biological males as their hill to die on."

The senator cited public sentiment, claiming that "80 percent of Americans do not want girls and women playing against biological males," arguing that such participation is both dangerous and unfair.

Graham concluded by affirming his ongoing support for efforts led by President Trump and Coach Tuberville to safeguard women's sports.
