U.S. lawmakers have introduced a bipartisan resolution aimed at addressing the potential threat of a nuclear-armed Iran. Senators Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina), John Fetterman (D-Pennsylvania), and Katie Britt (R-Alabama), along with Representatives Jared Moskowitz (D-Florida-23) and Mike Lawler (R-New York-17), are leading this effort.

The resolution emphasizes that the United States, Israel, and allied nations should keep all options available to counter the perceived threat from Iran's nuclear ambitions. Senator Graham stated, "If the Iranian Ayatollah and his henchman obtain a nuclear weapon, it would be one of the most destabilizing and dangerous events in world history."

Senator Graham highlighted that this measure is not an authorization for military force but aims to establish what he describes as the truth regarding Iran's nuclear intentions. He also commended his colleagues for their leadership on this issue.

Senator Fetterman expressed concern over Iran's pursuit of nuclear weapons, stating, "This resolution sends an unmistakable message: all options are on the table to prevent a nuclear-armed Iran." Senator Britt echoed these sentiments, stressing the need to address threats posed by Iran through strength.

Representative Moskowitz labeled Iran's nuclear program as an existential threat to global stability and called for its dismantlement. He remarked that "this resolution makes clear the United States won’t stand for anything less."

Representative Lawler emphasized the danger posed by a nuclear-armed Iran not only to Israel but also globally. He noted the bipartisan nature of this initiative as essential in highlighting potential consequences for Iran's actions.

The resolution affirms that Iran's continued pursuit of nuclear weapons capability is a credible threat to both U.S. national security and its allies in the Middle East. It calls on Iran to halt activities like uranium enrichment and development of delivery vehicles capable of carrying nuclear warheads.
