Senator Scott Slams President Biden’s Disastrous State of the Union

WASHINGTON — U.S. Senator Tim Scott (R-S.C.) criticized President Biden's recent State of the Union address and the handling of various issues, including the open border crisis and inflation. In an appearance on Fox News' Sunday Morning Futures, Senator Scott expressed his concerns about the administration's policies and urged for a return to commonsense approaches.

Regarding President Biden's address, Senator Scott stated, "He’s giving away money for student loans. He’s giving away money for welfare programs. He’s giving away money for the climate. All I heard was give away, give away, give away, and tax more. That is antithetical to who we are as Americans. What Americans want is the ability to control their own futures. That requires having their money back."

Senator Scott also criticized President Biden's response to Laken Riley's murder, saying, “We don’t need a president who is going to backstep and apologize for using the word ‘illegal’ versus ‘undocumented’ when the word he should just use is ‘murderer.’ That is disrespectful to the Riley family.”

On the issue of the open border crisis, Senator Scott emphasized the need for strong action, stating, “We need a president who’s serious about saving American lives by closing the border. We need a president who is serious about saving American lives by reinstating the Remain in Mexico policy. We need a president who is serious about saving 70,000 Americans who are dying of fentanyl by being serious and tough on our border.”

Senator Scott's remarks highlight his concerns about the direction of the current administration and his call for policies that prioritize American interests and safety.
