WASHINGTON - U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) is demanding answers from Attorney General Merrick Garland and DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas regarding the recent violent attack on New York City Police Officers by a group of migrants who are in the country illegally.

In a letter addressed to Garland and Mayorkas, Graham expressed his concern over the attack and asked what actions the Department of Justice and the Department of Homeland Security plan to take in response. He stated, "I was saddened but not surprised to hear about the latest consequences of President Biden's illegal immigration crisis - a violent beat-down near Times Square in New York of several NYPD officers by a dozen migrants. I write today to ask what the Department of Justice and the Department of Homeland Security intend to do in response to this brazen attack."

Graham's main question is whether the individuals responsible for the attack will be deported. He inquired, "Will the aliens who perpetrated this attack be deported? If so, when? If not, why not?"

The letter serves as a call to action, urging the authorities to address the issue promptly and take the necessary steps to ensure the safety and security of law enforcement officers. The full text of the letter can be found on Senator Graham's official website.

The incident in question highlights the ongoing challenges posed by illegal immigration and the need for effective border security measures. The attack on the NYPD officers illustrates the potential dangers that law enforcement personnel face when dealing with individuals who are in the country illegally.

As the situation unfolds, it remains to be seen how the Department of Justice and the Department of Homeland Security will respond to Senator Graham's inquiries and address the issue at hand.
