As we welcome the new year, we want to celebrate the spectacular event, Nights of a Thousand Candles, and thank all of our volunteers, visitors, members and donors for making it a record setting success in 2021. Because of your support, we are able to offer even more new and enriching experiences in 2022!Brookgreen's volunteer program is essential to its operation and continued success. Volunteers serve in all areas of the gardens in over 50 different volunteer opportunities. Flexible volunteer schedules are available.

Discovering Dinosaurs and Artifacts
Travel back in time to uncover several dinosaurs that lived in North America and their behavioral and physical adaptations for survival. We will discuss how fossils are formed and look at artifacts that have been discovered. Learn how artifacts are important sources of information for archaeologists.
Kitchen Scrap Gardening

Learn about fruits and vegetables as we take a tour of Bethea’s Garden. We will teach you to grow vegetables and herbs from items you'd normally throw in your compost bucket or trash. With little effort and a pinch of creativity you can create very imaginative indoor gardens from your kitchen leftovers!

Upcoming Schedule
The Gardens is open to normal business hours of 9:30AM- 5:00-PM everyday.The Old Kitchen is open from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. and serves beverages, homemade soups, cold sandwiches, quiche, and desserts.
Harvest Restaurant is closed and will reopen at the end of January.
