Median home prices in Charleston rose to $387,930 in the third quarter of 2021

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2021 in Charleston rose by $64,930 while total sales decreased by 29.6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2021, there were 655 homes sold, with a median sale price of $387,930 - a 20.1% increase over the $323,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 931 homes sold in Charleston in the third quarter of 2020.

The median sales tax in Charleston for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $1,635, approximately 0.4% of the median home sale price for the third quarter of 2021.
