September 2021: Charleston experienced a 27.1% increase in median home prices

The median sale price of a home sold in September 2021 in Charleston rose by $87,500 while total sales decreased by 42.9%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In September 2021, there were 152 homes sold, with a median sale price of $410,000 - a 27.1% increase over the $322,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 266 homes sold in Charleston in September 2020.

The median sales tax in Charleston for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $1,635, approximately 0.4% of the median home sale price for September 2021.
