City of Myrtle Beach issued the following announcement on October 1.

Looking for something to do in Myrtle Beach during the next few weeks? Here’s a short list of what’s scheduled through early November. And most of these are free to attend! Say “hi” when you see us around….

• Customer Appreciation Day at Crabtree Gym – 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Thursday, September 30

• Boardwalk Fright Nights, Plyler Park and Ocean Boulevard – Friday, Saturday and Sunday through October 31

• Taste of the Market Common, The Market Common – Saturday, October 2

• Pride MB, Valor Memorial Garden, 1120 Farrow Parkway – Saturday, October 2

• Fall Fest on Broadway: “It’s a Jerk Thing,” Broadway Street, Arts & Innovation District – Saturday, October 2

• Nights at Nance Concert Series – 6:00 p.m., Thursday October 7 (Chocolate Chip and Company)

• Eighth Annual BRITFEST Grand Strand British Car Show, Vacant Lot on Johnson Street, The Market Common – Saturday, October 2

• Oktoberfest, The Market Common – Friday and Saturday, October 8-9

• Myrtle Beach Jazz Festival, Charlie’s Place, Carver Street – Friday through Sunday, October 15-17.

• Myrtle Beach Mini Marathon, Plyler Park, 1000 North Ocean Boulevard – Saturday and Sunday, October 16-17

• Nights at Nance Concert Series, Nance Plaza – 6:00 p.m., Thursday, October 21,

• Klig’s Kites’ Kite Festival on the Beach, North of 82nd Avenue North – Saturday and Sunday, October 23-24

• American Heart Association’s Annual Beach Ride, on the Beach – Saturday, November 6

• NS Promotions’ Food Truck Festival, City Services Fields (between City Services and the Myrtle Beach Train Depot) – Friday and Saturday, November 5-6

• Veterans Day Ceremony, Plaza, Myrtle Beach Convention Center, 2101 North Oak Street – 11:00 a.m., Thursday, November 11

• Art in the Park, Valor Memorial Garden, 1120 Farrow Parkway– 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, November 13-14
