Mount Pleasant issued the following announcement on August 19.
Mount Pleasant, S.C. (August 19, 2021) - Owners Chris and Dee Dee Barnes with staff members, together with Mount Pleasant Council Member Kathy Landing, along with Mount Pleasant Chamber of Commerce members Rebecca Imholz, Kathi Herrmann, and Mike Compton, today participated in the ribbon-cutting ceremony for Contender eSports, located at 1113 Market Center Blvd. Suite A.
Contender eSports is Mount Pleasant's premier gaming Local Area Network (LAN) center. Guests can play video games with all their friends, just like an old-school gaming party, and enjoy an experience they would not normally have at home. Gamers can enter tournaments at least twice a month, hang out during a watch party, or enter into a regularly scheduled season. Contender eSports is home to the Charleston High School eSports League.
"Whether you're a fan of Sony or Microsoft, or think that PC rules the world, we've got something for you!", Chris said.
