Median home prices in James Island rose to $395,000 in the second quarter of 2021

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2021 in James Island rose by $60,000 while total sales decreased by 22.5%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2021, there were 55 homes sold, with a median sale price of $395,000 - a 17.9% increase over the $335,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 71 homes sold in James Island in the second quarter of 2020.

The median sales tax in James Island for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $1,291, approximately 0.3% of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2021.
