Isle of Palms home prices fall in 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in 2019 in Isle of Palms fell by $90,000 while total sales increased by 39.2%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2019, there were 309 homes sold, with a median sale price of $680,000 - a 11.7% decrease over the $770,000 median sale price for the previous year. There were 222 homes sold in Isle of Palms in 2018.

The median sales tax in Isle of Palms for 2019 was $6,302. In 2018, the median sales tax was $6,073. This marks an increase of 3.8%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 0.9%.
