Meggett home prices fall in 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in 2019 in Meggett fell by $188,750 while total sales increased by 141.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2019, there were 29 homes sold, with a median sale price of $365,000 - a 34.1% decrease over the $553,750 median sale price for the previous year. There were 12 homes sold in Meggett in 2018.

The median sales tax in Meggett for 2019 was $1,922. In 2018, the median sales tax was $1,894. This marks an increase of 1.5%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 0.5%.
