Pierpont home prices rise in 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in 2019 in Pierpont rose by $76,000 while total sales increased by 175%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2019, there were 11 homes sold, with a median sale price of $230,000 - a 49.4% increase over the $154,000 median sale price for the previous year. There were four homes sold in Pierpont in 2018.

The median sales tax in Pierpont for 2019 was $1,220. In 2018, the median sales tax was $1,175. This marks an increase of 3.7%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 0.5%.
