Summerville home prices rise in 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in 2019 in Summerville rose by $9,800 while total sales increased by 62.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2019, there were 112 homes sold, with a median sale price of $217,000 - a 4.7% increase over the $207,200 median sale price for the previous year. There were 69 homes sold in Summerville in 2018.

The median sales tax in Summerville for 2019 was $952. In 2018, the median sales tax was $936. This marks an increase of 1.7%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 0.4%.
