Mount Pleasant home prices fall in the second half of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2019 in Mount Pleasant fell by $6,250 while total sales increased by 19.2%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2019, there were 950 homes sold, with a median sale price of $425,000 - a 1.4% decrease over the $431,250 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 797 homes sold in Mount Pleasant in the second half of 2018.

The median sales tax in Mount Pleasant for 2019 was $1,817. In 2018, the median sales tax was $1,777. This marks an increase of 2.3%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 0.4%.
