Meggett home prices fall in the second half of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2019 in Meggett fell by $109,875 while total sales increased by 133.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2019, there were 14 homes sold, with a median sale price of $344,625 - a 24.2% decrease over the $454,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were six homes sold in Meggett in the second half of 2018.

The median sales tax in Meggett for 2019 was $1,922. In 2018, the median sales tax was $1,894. This marks an increase of 1.5%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 0.6%.
