Awendaw home prices fall in the fourth quarter of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2019 in Awendaw fell by $205,000 while total sales decreased by 50%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2019, there were two homes sold, with a median sale price of $305,000 - a 40.2% decrease over the $510,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were four homes sold in Awendaw in the fourth quarter of 2018.

The median sales tax in Awendaw for 2019 was $1,146. In 2018, the median sales tax was $1,113. This marks an increase of 3.1%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 0.4%.
