Summerville home prices rise in December 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in December 2019 in Summerville rose by $16,900 while total sales increased by 200%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In December 2019, there were nine homes sold, with a median sale price of $209,900 - a 8.8% increase over the $193,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were three homes sold in Summerville in December 2018.

The median sales tax in Summerville for 2019 was $952. In 2018, the median sales tax was $936. This marks an increase of 1.7%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 0.5%.
