Mount Pleasant home prices rise in the first half of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2017 in Mount Pleasant rose by $19,070 while total sales decreased by 17.2%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2017, there were 974 homes sold, with a median sale price of $406,570 - a 4.9% increase over the $387,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 1,176 homes sold in Mount Pleasant in the first half of 2016.

The median sales tax in Mount Pleasant for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $1,649, approximately 0.4% of the median home sale price for the first half of 2017.
