Melrose home prices rise in the second half of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2017 in Melrose rose by $20,000 while total sales remained unchanged with two homes sold, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2017, there were two homes sold, with a median sale price of $207,500 - a 10.7% increase over the $187,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were two homes sold in Melrose in the second half of 2016, as well.

The median sales tax in Melrose for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $1,029, approximately 0.5% of the median home sale price for the second half of 2017.
