Summerville home prices rise in the second half of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2017 in Summerville rose by $15,600 while total sales decreased by 26.5%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2017, there were 36 homes sold, with a median sale price of $183,500 - a 9.3% increase over the $167,900 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 49 homes sold in Summerville in the second half of 2016.

The median sales tax in Summerville for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $862, approximately 0.5% of the median home sale price for the second half of 2017.
