North Charleston home prices rise in the second half of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2017 in North Charleston rose by $21,000 while total sales decreased by 28.8%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2017, there were 446 homes sold, with a median sale price of $141,000 - a 17.5% increase over the $120,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 626 homes sold in North Charleston in the second half of 2016.

The median sales tax in North Charleston for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $729, approximately 0.5% of the median home sale price for the second half of 2017.
