Newport home prices rise in the first quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the first quarter of 2017 in Newport rose by $36,500 while total sales decreased by 66.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through March of 2017, there were five homes sold, with a median sale price of $190,000 - a 23.8% increase over the $153,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 15 homes sold in Newport in the first quarter of 2016.
