North Charleston home prices rise in the second quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2017 in North Charleston rose by $2,172 while total sales decreased by 18.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2017, there were 279 homes sold, with a median sale price of $125,000 - a 1.8% increase over the $122,828 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 343 homes sold in North Charleston in the second quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in North Charleston for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $729, approximately 0.6% of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2017.
