North Charleston home prices rise in the third quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2017 in North Charleston rose by $16,877 while total sales decreased by 23.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2017, there were 257 homes sold, with a median sale price of $135,000 - a 14.3% increase over the $118,123 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 337 homes sold in North Charleston in the third quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in North Charleston for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $729, approximately 0.5% of the median home sale price for the third quarter of 2017.
