Mount Pleasant home prices rise in the fourth quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2017 in Mount Pleasant rose by $30,500 while total sales decreased by 30.2%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2017, there were 308 homes sold, with a median sale price of $423,500 - a 7.8% increase over the $393,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 441 homes sold in Mount Pleasant in the fourth quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in Mount Pleasant for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $1,649, approximately 0.4% of the median home sale price for the fourth quarter of 2017.
