North Charleston home prices rise in the fourth quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2017 in North Charleston rose by $23,950 while total sales decreased by 34.6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2017, there were 189 homes sold, with a median sale price of $145,000 - a 19.8% increase over the $121,050 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 289 homes sold in North Charleston in the fourth quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in North Charleston for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $729, approximately 0.5% of the median home sale price for the fourth quarter of 2017.
