Charleston home prices rise in February 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in February 2017 in Charleston rose by $19,850 while total sales decreased by 21.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In February 2017, there were 162 homes sold, with a median sale price of $263,750 - a 8.1% increase over the $243,900 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 207 homes sold in Charleston in February 2016.

The median sales tax in Charleston for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $1,430, approximately 0.5% of the median home sale price for February 2017.
