Charleston home prices rise in March 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in March 2017 in Charleston rose by $39,000 while total sales decreased by 10.6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In March 2017, there were 227 homes sold, with a median sale price of $278,000 - a 16.3% increase over the $239,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 254 homes sold in Charleston in March 2016.

The median sales tax in Charleston for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $1,430, approximately 0.5% of the median home sale price for March 2017.
