Charleston home prices fall in January 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in January 2019 in Charleston fell by $41,250 while total sales decreased by 32.9%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In January 2019, there were 98 homes sold, with a median sale price of $286,250 - a 12.6% decrease over the $327,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 146 homes sold in Charleston in January 2018.

The median sales tax in Charleston for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $1,430, approximately 0.5% of the median home sale price for January 2019.
