The Big South Conference announced on April 30 that the Winthrop Eagles men’s golf team received seven awards for the season, including Freshman of the Year for Dylan Park.

These honors highlight a successful year for the program and recognize individual achievements among its players. The recognition includes all-conference, all-freshman, and academic distinctions.

Dylan Park was named both Freshman of the Year and to the All-Conference First Team. He led both his team and the conference in stroke average with a score of 71.13 this season. Park finished tied for fifth at the Big South Championship, earning him a spot on the All-Championship Team. He had seven Top 20 finishes, four Top 10s, and three Top 5s in his first collegiate season.

Sophomore Thomas Lamar was selected to the Second Team after competing in eight events with an average score of 72.58 and achieving a tie for fourth at the Wofford Invitational. Junior Ashton Eubanks earned honorable mention honors for a second consecutive year with an average score of 72.60; he finished tied for second at the Big South Championship.

Park and Mason Kucia were both named to the All-Freshman Team following strong performances throughout their debut seasons. Kucia was also recognized as Golfer of the Week on October 23 after finishing ninth at Furman Invitational.

Junior Logan Lutz made it onto the All-Academic Team for his achievements off course while competing in five events during this season.

This marks only the third time in program history that three Eagles have earned all-conference honors in one season—the first occurrence since 1991.
