WiJo Pouches North America, Inc., a Swedish manufacturer of modern oral pouches, has announced plans to establish its first North American manufacturing facility in Lexington County, South Carolina. The company is investing $13.5 million in the project and expects to create 170 new jobs.

The facility will be located at 381 Burton Road in Lexington and will cover 55,000 square feet. WiJo Pouches NA specializes in contract manufacturing for nicotine, caffeine, and functional pouches. The company provides services such as prototyping, scalable production, and market compliance support.

The Coordinating Council for Economic Development has approved job development credits related to this project.
