Chester County Library issued the following announcement on January 1.

Coding Club is back! Chester County Library invites youth ages 9-13 to join our Virtual Coding Club! This club will be hosted via Google Meet and participants will be learning to code their own video games.

Our next meeting is on January 18, 2022 at 4 p.m..

Meetings will be held from 4 to 5 p.m. on the 3rd Tuesday of the month. To register, please contact the Chester County Main Library at 803-377-8145.

Greer man sentenced to federal prison for wire fraud and money laundering

Jonathan Wade Sumter of Greer has been sentenced to over six years in federal prison after being convicted of wire fraud and money laundering tied to COVID-19 relief fund schemes. Authorities say he led efforts that defrauded government loan programs out of more than $1.8 million.
