Twelve South Carolina State Bulldogs were named to the 2026 Tennis All-Academic Team, the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) announced on April 30.

The recognition highlights academic achievement among student-athletes in the conference. The MEAC honored a total of 61 student-athletes from its eight member institutions for their academic performance during the 2025-26 academic year.

According to the MEAC, sophomore, junior, and senior student-athletes with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher are eligible for All-Academic accolades. Transfer student-athletes who have been at their institution for at least one year also qualify for this recognition.

The list of honorees includes students from Coppin State, Delaware State, Howard University, Morgan State, Norfolk State, North Carolina Central, and South Carolina State. Twelve Bulldogs were among those recognized from South Carolina State: Nithisbaalaji Latha Nallusamy, Rick Nieke, and Milica Dobrosavljevic were listed as part of this group.

This announcement underscores the emphasis placed on both athletic and academic excellence within the conference. The MEAC’s initiative encourages continued commitment to academics by its student-athletes.
