TS Conductor has announced plans to open a new manufacturing facility in Jasper County, South Carolina. This will be the company’s first operation in the state and its second in the United States. The project involves an investment of $134 million and is expected to create 462 new jobs.

The company specializes in advanced conductor technology that enhances transmission capacity while reducing costs. This technology is crucial for updating the power grid to accommodate increasing demand from data centers and domestic manufacturing. Currently, TS Conductor operates a production facility in Southern California.

The upcoming 301,275-square-foot facility at Clarius Park Hardeeville will produce advanced carbon-core conductors for transmission lines, including high-voltage direct current (HVDC) capacity. This development marks the initial phase of a three-phase expansion plan. Future phases include adding another one million square feet within Clarius Park Hardeeville.

Operations are slated to commence by the end of 2025. Interested individuals can apply through the company’s careers page.

To support this initiative, the Coordinating Council for Economic Development has approved job development credits and awarded a $5.11 million Closing Fund grant to assist Jasper County with site preparation and construction costs.

Jason Huang, PhD, Co-Founder and CEO of TS Conductor, expressed enthusiasm about partnering with South Carolina: “This state-of-the-art plant will enable us to meet growing demand from leading utilities across the Southeast and nationwide.” Governor Henry McMaster also welcomed TS Conductor’s investment as part of South Carolina’s energy sector portfolio.

Secretary of Commerce Harry M. Lightsey III highlighted the significance of this $134 million investment in modernizing the power grid. John Kemp, Chairman of Jasper County Council, emphasized that this announcement represents the largest job creation event in Jasper County’s history.

Marty Sauls, Chairman of SouthernCarolina Alliance, noted that each new job offers valuable opportunities for local families as TS Conductor begins operations in Jasper County.
