The Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office announced on May 2 that an 18-year-old man from Georgetown was arrested following a routine traffic stop, which resulted in the discovery of drugs, a firearm, and distribution equipment in his vehicle.
The incident took place at approximately 3 a.m. when a deputy observed a car with illegal window tinting behaving evasively near Highmarket and Reservoir Street. Upon pulling the vehicle over, the deputy detected the odor of marijuana and saw a blunt in the car’s ashtray. A pat down of the driver revealed a Glock handgun concealed in his underwear. Further search uncovered about half a pound of suspected marijuana, some suspected ecstasy (MDMA), packaging materials, and a scale. The suspect, identified as Justin Michael Sessions, was placed on warrant hold for Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule I-III substances and Possession of MDMA.
