The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) is set to implement a traffic shift on I-26 Eastbound in Berkeley County. This change will occur between mile marker 190 and Exit 194, known as Jedburg Road, starting June 18. The shift will move traffic from the current interstate lanes to newly constructed median lanes to facilitate ongoing construction.

Drivers should anticipate delays and are advised to consider alternative routes if feasible. SCDOT has urged motorists to reduce speed and remain attentive when traveling through the work zone. To assist with planning, drivers can use the 511SC App or visit 511sc.org for route information.
