The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) is set to conduct a traffic shift on I-20 Westbound over the Wateree River in Kershaw County. The operation will take place between mile markers 97 and 95, starting the night of Friday, June 27.

Traffic will be moved from the current I-20 Westbound bridge to a newly constructed bridge to allow crews to continue their work. The shift is expected to be completed by the morning of Saturday, June 28.

Drivers are advised to anticipate delays and consider alternate routes if possible. SCDOT recommends using the 511SC app or visiting 511sc.org for route planning and real-time traffic updates. “SCDOT asks that drivers slow down and pay attention when driving near the work zone.”
