Today in Washington, U.S. Senator Tim Scott introduced former Senator Kelly Loeffler at her confirmation hearing for the role of Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration. Loeffler, nominated by President Trump, was presented to the Senate Small Business and Entrepreneurship Committee.

Senator Scott expressed his support for Loeffler’s nomination based on his experience as a small business owner. He stated, “As a small business owner for 15 years, I have great confidence in your ability to do the job.” He urged committee members to consider her candidacy seriously and vote in her favor.

Scott emphasized the importance of small businesses to the economy, saying, “Because without small businesses, we will have high unemployment [and] low enthusiasm.” He highlighted the need to focus on underserved communities and ensure strong businesses across all areas of the nation.

The confirmation hearing is a crucial step in determining whether Loeffler will lead efforts to support small businesses across the United States.
