Three Furman athletes to compete at Duke Twilight on Sunday

Three members of the Furman track and field teams will participate in the Duke Twilight meet at Morris Williams Stadium in Durham, North Carolina, on Sunday, May 2.

The event serves as a final opportunity for the Paladins to prepare ahead of the Southern Conference Championship scheduled for May 11-12. The participation includes sophomore Claire Cook in the women’s 800-meter race at 6 p.m., sophomore Nysa Males in the women’s 1,500-meter race at 7:45 p.m., and junior Brayden Seymour in the men’s 1,500-meter race at 8:25 p.m.

Live results will be available on www.furmanpaladins.com. Select events from Sunday’s meet will also be broadcast live on ACCNX.

The Duke Twilight is seen as an important tune-up for Furman’s athletes before they head into conference championship competition next week. According to information released by Furman Athletics, this event gives these runners a final chance to compete and fine-tune their performances before postseason events.
