Coastal Carolina University announced on Apr. 27 that three of its football players have accepted invitations to participate in National Football League rookie minicamps following the 2026 NFL Draft.

The news highlights opportunities for student-athletes from Coastal Carolina to advance their careers and potentially secure spots with professional teams.

Wide receiver Malick Meiga will attend the Carolina Panthers’ rookie minicamp, while wide receiver and kick returner Malcolm Gillie has been invited to join the Las Vegas Raiders. Defensive end Noah Arinze will take part in the Kansas City Chiefs’ rookie minicamp. Meiga played in 11 games during his final season, recording 19 receptions for 209 yards and one touchdown. Gillie received All-Sun Belt honorable mention honors as a kick returner after amassing 467 kickoff return yards and a touchdown, including a notable 96-yard return. He also caught eight passes for 161 yards and two touchdowns across all 13 games he played as a wide receiver.

Arinze was recognized as Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Week during Week Four of the season. He appeared in all 13 games his senior year, totaling 37 tackles, six tackles for loss, and two sacks.

The university said these invitations give players “an opportunity to compete for roster spots, free agent contracts, and future opportunities at the next level,” noting that such camps are typically held soon after the draft concludes.

This development continues Coastal Carolina’s growing presence among college programs sending athletes into professional football.
