Charleston Southern University announced on April 30 that three of its men’s golf team members have received All-Conference honors from the Big South. Dewi John, Bailey Bjornson, and Theo Takman were recognized as award winners by the conference.

The recognition highlights individual achievements during the recent season. Such awards can bring attention to both the athletes and their program.

Dewi John was named to both the All-Conference First Team and the All-Championship Team after his performance at Fripp Island. John posted rounds of 69, 68, and 69 to finish seven under par in the tournament. The university said he is “CSU’s first Individual Medalist since 2016 and fifth ever in program history.”

Bailey Bjornson earned Big South Newcomer of the Year in his first season with Charleston Southern and was also named to the All-Academic Team. According to Charleston Southern, “He becomes the first Buccaneer to win Newcomer of the Year since the award was introduced in 2024.” Theo Takman received an Honorable Mention for All-Conference honors after leading Charleston Southern this year in top-10 finishes with two and posting a scoring average of 73.15.

Charleston Southern Athletics encourages fans to support their programs through participation in their Buc Club.
