Superior Wellness, a company known for manufacturing and distributing premium hot tubs, has announced plans to establish its first U.S. operation in Orangeburg County, South Carolina. This new venture involves an investment of $11.3 million and is expected to create 35 new jobs.

The company, which is based in the United Kingdom, specializes in products that enhance health and well-being, including hot tubs, swim spas, and Chill Tubs. These products are distributed globally to a large customer base.

Superior Wellness will be setting up its operations at 106 Logistics Drive in Cameron. The facility spans 75,000 square feet and will serve as the company’s U.S. headquarters as well as a center for warehousing, logistics, spare parts, and accessories.

Operations at the new facility are projected to commence by December 2024. The Coordinating Council for Economic Development has approved job development credits related to this project.

South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster expressed enthusiasm about the announcement: “We are delighted to welcome another international company to South Carolina’s thriving business community… we look forward to working with the company in the years ahead.”

Harry M. Lightsey III, Secretary of Commerce commented on the significance of this decision: “Superior Wellness’ decision to establish its first U.S. operation and headquarters right here in South Carolina speaks volumes about our business-friendly environment…”

Barbara Melvin from SC Ports also welcomed the move: “Congratulations to Superior Wellness on locating a new distribution center in Orangeburg County…”
