A Summerville man has been arrested on 23 charges related to the sexual exploitation of a minor, according to an announcement from South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson. Kenneth Charles Lundstrom, 37, was taken into custody by Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force investigators with the Summerville Police Department. The investigation also involved the Attorney General’s Office, Goose Creek Police Department, and Charleston County Sheriff’s Office, all part of the state’s ICAC Task Force.
Authorities were led to Lundstrom after receiving a CyberTipline report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). Investigators allege that Lundstrom distributed and possessed files containing child sexual abuse material.
Lundstrom was arrested on August 13, 2025. He faces 16 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor in the second degree and seven counts in the third degree. Each count is classified as a felony offense and carries a possible sentence of up to ten years imprisonment.
Lundstrom has a prior conviction for similar offenses in 2022. The case will be prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Office.
Attorney General Wilson stated: “All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until they are proven guilty in a court of law.”
Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) is now used instead of “child pornography” because it more accurately describes these crimes and avoids implying consent by victims.
